Westminster Waste Achieves PAS 402 Accreditation

We are excited to announce that we have officially achieved PAS 402 accreditation once again, marking a significant milestone in our journey toward greater sustainability and accountability in waste management. This prestigious accreditation was first awarded to us on 07/08/2019 and has been consistently renewed, with our most recent re-certification audit approved on 19/08/2024.

This achievement demonstrates our ongoing commitment to transparency, efficiency, and environmentally responsible practices, setting us apart as a leader in the industry.

What is PAS 402 Accreditation?

The PAS 402:2013 standard is a voluntary accreditation specifically designed for the waste management sector. It focuses on improving performance by requiring waste management companies to report their waste recovery rates accurately and consistently. The goal is to drive transparency in the industry, making it easier for businesses and clients to see how waste is being managed, and whether sustainable practices are being followed.

To achieve PAS 402 accreditation, Westminster Waste underwent a rigorous audit process conducted by an independent third party. This audit examined everything from our waste collection and recycling processes to how we report and manage waste data. The accreditation confirms that we meet or exceed industry standards for responsible waste management, recycling, and resource recovery.

What PAS 402 Means for Westminster Waste

Achieving PAS 402 accreditation is more than just a certification—it’s a reflection of our ongoing commitment to sustainability and best practices. This accreditation provides our clients with confidence that we are not only managing their waste effectively but also doing so in a way that minimises environmental impact.

By adhering to the PAS 402 standard, we are able to:

Increase Transparency: Clients can now see detailed reports on how their waste is managed, from collection to recycling and final disposal, providing a clear breakdown of recovery rates and processes.

Improve Efficiency: The accreditation process helped us refine our internal systems, enabling us to deliver even more efficient and effective waste management services.

Strengthen Sustainability Goals: As part of the accreditation, we have demonstrated our commitment to recycling and resource recovery, diverting waste away from landfills and contributing to a circular economy.

At Westminster Waste, we’ve always prioritised innovation and sustainability in our waste management services. Achieving PAS 402 accreditation reinforces our dedication to reducing the environmental impact of waste while offering our clients transparent and reliable solutions.

We are proud of this achievement, but our journey doesn’t stop here.
